What Is It That You Do?..

Ever been asked this question and been stumped as to what to say, especially since you are network marketing and you know the bad rap network marketing has been getting over the years?

Your answer can be as simple as saying that you are a professional networker.

Let me elaborate.

Other professionals carry a label, such as being a nurse, a doctor, an accountant or even a busboy.  But in network marketing how do you answer in a way that won’t put the other person off?

Often we have doubts about what we do and being in network marketing can be a challenge since its not a conventional occupation.

So let’s look at different answers.  These will depend on the situation you are interacting in.

For example, if you are talking to a business owner, your response could be to say that you help small business owners increase their bottom line.

In another context such as a beauty salon or spa, you could say that you represent a line of products that help people create beauty from the inside.

Just as powerful is the response, “I am a residual income specialist” for any situation.

For athletes, you could say that you represent nutritional products that help athletes improve their performance.

For stay at home moms, a good response is to say that you help stay at home moms better their income while taking care of their children.

What did you notice in most of these comments?

You addressed the need and gave the solution.  It’s as simple as that.  Always identify the needs and give the solution.  That’s what people are looking for.

Answers to their problems.

So go out there and be proud to tell people that you are a professional business planner who helps small business owners increase value for their clients while increasing their bottom line.
