Attracting The 4 Personality Network Marketing Types..

Written by Marie on Feb 26th, 2009 | Filed under: All Posts, Lead Generation, Training

Before you can attract prospects, it’s always a good idea to know what types of prospects there are in the first place.

Basically you will meet 4 types:

  • Those that are motivated by money. This type of personality knows that network marketing can be a really good place to make money.  They’re not interested in earning just a couple of extra bucks a month.  Rather, they are looking to make the biggest amount they can. In order to attract these types, focus on the compensation plan and its benefits.  Talk about fulfilling dreams.
  • Those that like to have fun. This type of personality is the social butterfly.  They love to meet new people, love the idea of network marketing as a business model, love the events and the energy of success.  As long as the process if fun, they will stay for the long run. To attract this type, talk about how the events will motivate and energize them. Talk about the high profile leaders they will get a chance to meet.  Pick one leader who has really focused on making their business a lot of fun.
  • Those that are motivated by knowledge based in facts. This type of personality is an analyzer and a thinker. The more factual data you can provide them with, the better. For example, if your product has studies that prove the results are true, you will see these prospects just gobble it up. Therefore, having a lot of factual data resources is an ideal bait for this type.
  • Those that need a great cause to motivate them.  Why? Because this personality type wants to help others whether by helping them make more money, get healthier or better themselves in some way.  As long as your product addresses that need in your prospect, you will see them easily join your opportunity.

So developing great content based on the type of personality you want to attract is just great marketing.  When you know what need to fill, the rest is easy.

Buying Leads: Tips From A Master..

Written by Marie on Feb 24th, 2009 | Filed under: All Posts, Lead Generation, Training

I’ve always said that it’s easier to learn from someone who’s been there and done that.  And in network marketing, this moto especially stands true.

That’s why, when I wanted to know the ins and out of buying opportunity leads, I went to someone who has been there and done that.

According to Mike Dillard, “there are several challenges that come with purchasing and using business opportunity leads to build a network marketing business.”

These next points should be considered:

  • where are your leads being generated from? If they come from companies that offer incentives to entice people to become a lead, these leads would not be of the best quality. However, if the people have actually requested information about working from home and filled out a survey, these leads are understandably of a much better quality
  • guaranteeing the quality of the leads you get, makes for a good lead provider.  It’s not fun to get invalid phone numbers or contacting people that didn’t request information in the first place.  Moreover a good leads provider will guarantee replacement of a bogus lead at no cost to you.
  • will you be purchasing leads that have already been sold? Most leads are sold 4 to 5 times so if you’re #5, your leads may already have bitten someone else’s line and not interested in hearing anything you have to say.  A remedy for this problem would be to make sure the vendor never sells your leads to more than one person in your business opportunity. And once you have those leads, the faster you reach them the better.
  • Your number one best leads should be verified leads. These are identified in 2 ways: 1- verified leads of people responding to an ad and having been pre-interviewed by a call center. 2- these leads may not have been verified but you receive them live, meaning that as soon as they have filled out a survey, they are assigned to you and if you conatct them quickly, you should get a better response.

So wha’ts the worse leads you can buy? These are what is called “aged leads”.  These leads are weeks or months old and buying this kind of lead is just throwing your time away, unless that’s what you want, because these leads are really cheap.

As we all know, or should at this point, that the best leads we can get are those we generate ourselves.

That’s why learning how to market yourself using a step by step formula is so effective because you make those leads your friends.

Falling For The Next Best Thing..

Written by Marie on Feb 23rd, 2009 | Filed under: All Posts, Motivational Leadership

Is the next best thing just around the corner? If it is and you keep falling for it, where does that leave your primary network marketing business?

Maybe ABC is the one we should join, but Oh look at DEF, it sounds even better.  Having this type of attitude spells death to your present opportunityl

This happens a lot and I’ve been guilty of it myself.  It’s easy to get distracted while promoting our network marketing opportunity when we come across so many different opportunities that look as good or better than the one we have.

There will be a point that you will reach where you will feel so overwhelmed and possibly broke, that you will leave it all behind and become one of the many thousands that put network marketing down as something for only special people to be successful at.

Saying no to these offers is a true test of your commitment and resolve to succeed in network marketing.

And staying focused on your opportunity, your product, your marketing while pushing all else aside is the only way to succeed.  You must have one goal to grow your business and continue to help people.

It’s that simple.  Remember, and I’ve said it before, network marketing is simple but not easy.  Saying “NO” to temptations is not easy but it is very simple.

Stay on track with a leader/trainer/friend that will ensure you reach your goals just the way you want.

4 Phases Of A Successful MLM Business..

Written by Marie on Feb 17th, 2009 | Filed under: All Posts, Training

It doesn’t matter what business you’re in, there will be certain phases you will have to go through before reaching total success.

In life, you experience growth, well so will your network marketing organization.

See if you can identify where your MLM organization is right now.

  1. “Do Not Drop, Fragile Phase” This first phase is basically the hardest one to get through.  You’re new to the business, you’re learning how to do everything and making mistakes too.  You are developing your belief and trust that this industry will work for you and be that vehicle that will make all your dreams come true.  You also will encounter a lot of obstacles that will test your resolve and your faith.  To stay strong and on track will be your greatest challenge.  Most people quit right here, will you?
  2. “Lets add cement to Solidify your organization” phase has you starting to grow more solid and consistent in getting paid regularly.  During this time, leaders in your network marketing organization will start to show their talents and your volume will become solid and steady.   Unfortunately, this is where the majority of people quit network marketing, while the rest have already quit during phase one.
  3. “Time to see the big bucks rolling in” confirms that you are now maturing your business to the point where both your leaders and you are making some really good money. In this phase, your leaders will exhibit different phases too as they start to grow their organizations bigger and bigger.  Your MLM organization could number in the thousands by now.  This phase also reflects how good a trainer you have been by how well your leaders have duplicated your actions.  Hopefully, they will no longer need your help.  This point is also where millionaires will start to show up and you will be one of them.
  4. “Growing your wealth to become rock solid” phase is where your wealth or residual income continues to accumulate no matter what you do. Many get close to this phase but never achieve it as they lack the necessary leadership skills that will complete this level to make it a really rock solid phase that never quits.

Have you identified the phase you’re in yet?  Don’t forget that really solid training, tools, and support from an excellent and involved trainer can make the difference between staying at phase 2 and pushing through to become a rock solid network marketer that enjoys the fruits of her hard work.

Hitting Your Prospect Between The Eyes…

Written by Marie on Feb 16th, 2009 | Filed under: All Posts, Lead Generation, Training

Getting your prospect to pay attention to what you are saying can be a trying event.

There are doubters everywhere and when you are presenting to a prospect, you will always come across some that look at you with great skepticism.

Of course you don’t want to waste your time with prospects that fail to see how they can improve their position, but out of these doubters, there are bound to be soon to be believers.

But what if you could ask your prospect a question that would basically hit them between the eyes and really make them think?

This question is so powerful that you would instantly be able to tell from your prospect whether they are someone you want to have in your team or not.

So what is this revelation question? It’s very simple.

“What if it worked for you-how would that change your life?”

Remember that Network Marketing is a simple business so why complicate the issue.

What better question to ask your prospect to make them think about their future, to rekindle that dream buried deep within them?

Always Keep It Simple Sally!  Join a winning team that keeps your dream alive!

Inoculating Your New Associate For Success..

Written by Marie on Feb 9th, 2009 | Filed under: All Posts, Motivational Leadership, Training

The idea is to protect yourself from disease if it’s rampant by getting vaccinated.  Although I don’t believe in vaccinations, I do believe in prevention.

But how do you prepare your new associate so they are resistant to network marketing negativity?

By that I mean that a new person entering the network marketing arena will have a lot of challenges to face and the biggest one will be the influences from others around them.

Why? Because we listen better to what’s negative about this world than what is positive.  All the media know to report are usually shock and awe.  I guess they figure that’s the way to keep people’s attention.

But in network marketing, this tactic will kill your new associate even before they get out of the gate.

So how do you prepare them?

  1. prepare your distributor by helping them to realize that others will try to turn them away from being successful. Why? Because if they are successful, then this really shines a spotlight on others who do not have the same success. It really boils down to that green eyed monster showing its colors.
  2. those that decry network marketing as a silly dream will also try to detract your new distributor from success. At this point, getting your new distributor to be really clear about their goals and their vision is crucial.  The vision is what sustains through thick and thin.
  3. show your new distributor how others have succeeded and always keep these people in sight.  By emulating successful leaders, one has a tendency to absorb the qualities needed to also make them a leader.
  4. get your new distributor to begin duplicating success by working with others and helping them realize their dreams too.  Often we are told that it’s not about us but about how much you can help others see the possibility of achieving dreams of their own.  Yours will come as a natural process when your concentration is upon giving to others.

So, inoculating your new associate for success is really easy when great leaders and trainers are there to mentor you every step of the way.

Get Over It! Your Fear Of Public Speaking..

Written by Marie on Feb 3rd, 2009 | Filed under: All Posts, Motivational Leadership

Yesterday I mentioned the discovery of the”Impostor” as shown to me by David Wood.

Part of the whole exercise was to teach us how to master the stage.  If you didn’t get a chance to look at my video on that topic, you can get it here.

But I wanted to add these points to overcoming your fear of the stage and public speaking:

  1. Be prepared. Know what you’re going to say. Never “wing-it.”  That’s why David’s 10 steps are so important.Study your materials; prepare your notes; role play what you will say into a tape recorder. When you stand up in front of people just think – “First I’ll say this, then I’ll say this.”
  2. Don’t focus your attention on you. Instead pay attention to your audience. When we are afraid, it’s because we focus on us instead of the other. So putting 100% of your attention on the audience is crucial to staying in control.

It’s only with practice and persistence that you will overcome your fears and be looked upon as a great speaker. So if being a great speaker is iimportant to you then following the 10 steps for a great presentation as given by David Wood and practising will make all the difference.

What Not To Say To A Prospect..

Written by Marie on Jan 29th, 2009 | Filed under: All Posts, Lead Generation, Training

When meeting with a prospect, some network marketers make huge mistakes that can turn their prospect completely off.

  1. First off, don’t hide that your opportunity is network marketing.  Some people already have a problem with that type of model, so being secretive will only emphasize that notion.
  2. On the other hand, telling the prospect right off that it is network marketing can also be a problem, because not too many really know what network marketing is really all about.  If the person asks you if it is network marketing , then that’s ok.  Answer their question.
  3. Don’t start off your conversation with an invite straight to your company.  Saying “getting involved” draws objections from people and can put them right off from the start.  You may think that your opportunity will excite them just as much as it did you, but don’t count on it.

So what to do?

What works well is to use a 3rd party to invite your prospect to look at the network marketing industry.  You first have to get their confusion about the network marketing industry cleared up if you wish to sponsor them into your business.

More importantly, if you don’t clear up the network marketing issue right from the beginning and your prospect does join your business, they won’t be active as doubts about the industry will still be present and they won’t recognize all the possibilities that network marketing could bring them.

So here’s how you get the best results:

  • you connect with your prospect concentrating your attention on them and their interests
  • you qualify them by identifying what they need, product or business wise
  • you invite them to look at some educational material that will deliver what they need, especially an explanation of the network marketing industry

These steps can only insure your success. And oh yes, don’t forget to follow-up.

Cynics Don’t Belong In Network Marketing..

Written by Marie on Jan 28th, 2009 | Filed under: All Posts, Motivational Leadership

If you don’t know by now that your attitude has a lot of power, then it’s time you listened.

I’m not going to start preaching but if you are truly cynical, which comes from a negative attitude, you might have to think twice before starting an MLM business.

Or change your mindset.

You decide what to focus on , no one else.

I have a friend that is a perpetual whiner, but never fixes the cause of the problem. Everything around her is to blame and never looks at herself for answers. Then she wonders why she struggles all the time.

This type of self absorbed mindset will definitely not create any form of MLM success in your life but certainly will create the success of failure.

That type of person expects only one thing in their life and that is if something is good, there will be something bad in it somewhere. The glass in not only half empty but there is a whole in it too.

It you have read “The Secret” or books of a similar nature, you will already know that what you expect from life generally does happen.

So if you have to tweak your life for success, then change your mindset. Read books, watch DVDs, listen to audios, do anything that you need to do to facilitate this change within you.

Identify with inspiring leaders who have been there and done that, especially in the business you are working in. These leaders have nuggets which can change your life. Now being part of a team with such a leader only spells success.

So if you don’t change your mindset, your MLM business will only be half full and slowly pouring out the other end leaving you an empty business with no residual income

The Power Of Recruiting Beyond Your Business..

Written by Marie on Jan 27th, 2009 | Filed under: All Posts, Lead Generation, Training

If you could explode your MLM recruiting by touching people in such a way that would make them follow you anywhere you go, would you be interested in finding out what it was?

Well, such a secret does exist and whether you recruit through online marketing or face to face, this next hot recruiting tip may just propel you over the top with an increased recruiting ratio.

What I have learned from other top leaders is that we need to recruit beyond the business.

In order to do that you have to consider the impact you can have on people’s lives.

Take yourself for example. Did anyone ever tell you that you could truly succeed, that you had it in you to do great things and did anyone ever care enough to take the time to show you how you could be great?

The majority of people out there have not had that kind of attention. They are starving for someone to show them that they can go beyond the mundane of every day life.

But you have the POWER to change all of that.

Recruiting is not just about getting someone to sign up for your business opportunity but rather about touching that person in the heart, showing that you care about their dreams and goals for a better future.

This is what is meant by recruiting beyond your business. Whether you like it or not, you are in the business of caring for your fellow man.

You do this by focusing on what the business and product you have can bring to your recruit’s life. You show them the possibility of a better them which will motivate them to go on a life changing crusade.

As their self esteem increases, their financial status will change and so will their relationship with family and friends.

They will finally see the person they want to become as they become that person through growth, maturity and increase in all areas of their life.

So if you just show how your business can do that for them, then your network marketing paycheck will only keep on growing, forever.
