Even CNN Agrees That Now Is The Time To Be Your Own Boss

Written by Marie on Feb 5th, 2010 | Filed under: All Posts, Motivational Leadership

Even CNN is now recognizing that now is the time to go into business for yourself and be your own boss.  In this video, they interview Charlotte Phelps, an economist at Temple University.

The times may be hard but it’s also the time to make that leap of faith into a home based business that will position you for the coming global entrepreneurial shift that has started to take place.

Governments are helping entrepreneurs are at the vanguard of social economic change and those who do take advantage will look 20 years from now with it as being the crux where things changed to create for them a successful career.

Be creative and choose a niche that will sell your idea. And what better way to do that than through the Internet.

Why play it safe when down times are what create future successful companies that were smart enough to see the trend and take advantage of it.  If this isn’t enough motivation to take the leap, I don’t know what is.

There Is No “I” In Team..

Written by Marie on Oct 3rd, 2008 | Filed under: All Posts, Motivational Leadership

Building a team is all about the team and nothing of it is about you.

This is where you stand to the side and look at the group instead.

Your team is made up of people you sponsored and if you check the word sponsor in the dictionary, it describes it as one for whom you take responsibility.

In other words their success is dependent upon you.

But there are criteria to judge before taking responsibility for someone else’s success.

These include:

  • desire: does your new business partner have the desire to succeed?
  • belief: does that person believe in themselves enough to get there?
  • commitment: are they ready to commit to a minimum of 2 years?

From then on, it sits in your lap to see that your team is successful.  Training is the key to success which will teach you how to sift, sort and qualify.

It will provide you with outstanding tools that will make your team a winner rather than a loser.

It will give you the opportunity for growth.

Now, not all companies will offer such opportunities for self growth.  Only the best do so.

Remember that if your main goal is to help poor people, that staying poor won’t get you where you want, but rich will!

Events Are Great Tools For Motivation…

Written by Marie on Sep 25th, 2008 | Filed under: All Posts, Motivational Leadership, Training

Events play a big part of our lives.  There is a day that celebrates our birth.   There is a day we dress up and scare others.  There is a day we give chocolates to the person we love and there is a day we give presents to everyone.

So events are a big thing.  This is especially true in network marketing.

Daily events are ongoing.  You may be attending a daily training call or meeting with your downline or a prospect.

Weekly events mark the week with maybe a call where a VIP is being interviewed.  You could learn more about the product or the business.  You could also be having home presentations where you are able to reach more than 1 person at a time.

In fact I am having one this next Monday evening and I expect a packed house.  Can’t wait.

Monthly events are very useful and should be attended on a regular basis.  There you will find others who are like you.  You will identify and feel the passion, the comraderie and the visions of others.  It’s also a good time to bring a prospect along so they can also feel the energy of the event.

There will be training tips and event product tasting and freebies.  It’s also great fun!

Monthly events inspire you and push you to go past your comfort zone.

But you live too far to go regularly to a monthly event?

Well, I live 10 hours away from mine.  In that case, why not make your own?  Get your people together and do what networking is all about.  Reach out to the community and put posters up so that many can view them.

You have a whole month to get it together.  Have your associates commit to helping this process happen.  And occasionally, you will be able to drive those 10 hours every few months to attend a company event.

The biggest event is the yearly convention.  I have already committed to going to mine next August.  Will I see you there?

Together Everyone Achieves More: Team Work…

Written by Marie on Sep 15th, 2008 | Filed under: All Posts, Motivational Leadership

John Gray of “Men Are From Mars and Women Are From Venus” personally sponsored Rhonda Collier into my business opportunity and she had some really good tips when it came to team work.

T: Together: Connecting with people and gathering the right minded people takes time .  You must be ready to listen to their needs and discover the person’s greatness, that is why we share our story together as a team so that this person can identify with others who have gone through the same thing.

E: Everyone: Everyone needs your product but not everyone may be open to the opportunity.  That is why followups are so important because you are supporting this person in their endeavor and using the team to further give support.

A: Achieves:  You are not in business by yourself.  There are others who have your interests at heart because if you succeed it helps them succeed.  It is always about helping others get to where they want to go as it is for your up-line to help you get where you want to go.

Tools such as 3-way calls and training ensure that the team is doing similar challenges so all are on the same page, ie dupllication.

M: More: This is where leverage is really clear.  As your team achieves more, the hours and time you have invested in doing your part the right way also gets multiplied by the others on your team doing the same actions as you.

More actions = more revenue back to you.

Everybody wins!

And don’t forget to have fun.  Do things you love to do and get together for events whether it’s a barbecue or a company event.  This keeps your team awake and vibrant.  Offer incentives and challenges.

We all want a lifestyle of freedom, health, support and greatness.  Using your team and being part of a team with this ideal will certainly get you where you want.

You’re Just Sharing Products With People…

Written by Marie on Sep 9th, 2008 | Filed under: All Posts, Motivational Leadership

Get a grip people. If you’re in network marketing you’re in sales.

It’s always nicer to say that you are sharing though. At least I like to think of it that way but I do realize that underneath it’s sales.

So you’re a beginner and you were told to share with family and friends. Were you trained first?

If not, you are not being prepared properly and are being set-up for failure.

Sharing does sound less confrontational than selling and approaching your family and friends is less stressful, I admit that. But it gives a false impression of being easy. That’s one thing network marketing is not. It is simple but not easy.

The main reason people are told that it’s sharing is because everyone hates being sold to and sharing gives it a much cozier feeling, which can be ok if done right.

Although your role changes when there is monetary compensation involved, this should not deter you from tapping into your warm market.

Understanding this early may save you some sleepless night. But also understanding this should motivate you to learn effective sales skills.

Just recommending your products to people you know is not enough. You need to give them a good reason to buy from you.

Just because someone is your friend/relative does not mean they will or should spend their money with you.

It is not wrong to approach your warm market, in fact you should not need to go out of your warm market, but you have to give them strong enough reasons to buy your product rather than Joe Blow’s who lives next door.

You have to address their needs! Money is secondary to the help you can provide this person whether it is with a new product or even with the business opportunity attached to your product.

What does that person need in their life to improve it? And how can your product or business op address that need?

Good upline training will get you ready before you approach anyone in your warm market. If that is not the case, then find someone that will help you and be there at every step of the way.

Scams vs Real…

Written by Marie on Aug 12th, 2008 | Filed under: All Posts, Motivational Leadership

How do you separate scams from the real thing?

Most offers on the net are quite legitimate if you investigate a little before buying but sometimes you can get scammed. You may need some guidance here.

Just because an offer is not illegal, it however does not make it something that you will want to get involved in.

You must do your due diligence. If it sounds too good to be true, then that is a good rule of thumb to use, it probably is!

You have to do your homework. There are various ways to do this.

  1. You can check out some blogs and search postings using a pertinent keyword that just might help you to learn a little more about the program, offer or person.
  2. You can Google it to see what pops up.
  3. You can join a forum and ask the opinion of other contributors.
  4. You might even want too check out the FTC

Advice here is easy. It really all boils down to careful research.

you know about scams, stay on guard.

If you don’t know about the most common scams, then educate yourself. You will get to know the names of those that can be trusted the more you research. You can even get quality training with coaches that are very successful for very little money upfront.

Last but not least, keep your money in your pocket for now. There are more than excellent opportunities available that will bring you steady income and can grow into a residual work horse many years after you have working it.

Check this out.

Motivation Equals Sizzle

Written by Marie on Jun 9th, 2008 | Filed under: All Posts, Motivational Leadership

To keep your organization sizzling with interest, you must keep positive people around and involve your associates in the process.

This is all part of your training. You will:

  1. be role playing,
  2. be introducing the business to new prospect
  3. be holding product training sessions
  4. be giving home parties
  5. be holding weekly pre-determined conference calls
  6. be attending company training

But most importantly you will be keeping a constant temperature in your business with

    • no hype
    • no highs
    • no lows

Your presence will motivate others and how you act will set the tone at all times.
