Written by Marie on Mar 10th, 2011 | Filed under: All Posts, Training

When contemplating marketing your home business, the new year is always an important time with reflections and motivation.

Admin: Staying motivated is definitely an important part of sticking with working online. Many get confused and discouraged by information overload and give up too soon when they need is some help to help them cut out the clutter and a marketing system to follow that does just that while teaching them only what is needed to succeed.marketing from home mom

It’s a great time to celebrate the accomplishments you made in the prior year, but it’s also a good time to think about your plans for the new year ahead.

Maybe you need to completely change your tactics and make some serious changes. Perhaps something has not been working for you and you need fresh techniques. Or what you’ve been doing IS working and you need to find the time to do it more efficiently. Time can be a challenging factor.

Whatever tools you are using, the following 3 tips below are crucial for any home business

1. Social networking – The number one tool you should be using when it comes to marketing. Twitter and Facebook are valuable tools and are easy to use for any type of work at home venture. Keep in mind if your time online is short, (especially if you have little ones at home), you need to make the most of it and the easiest way to do that is to schedule your tweets. Also going over your posts for both networks mentioned above the night before is always a good idea.

2. Offline Marketing - It’s just as important as online marketing so it’s a good idea to do both regardless of the way you go about bringing in more clientele. One of the easiest, least expensive, and best ways to market offline is to use business cards. Create a card that represents you well and tells a brief description of what you offer and then hand them out to potential customers whenever possible. Also, keep in mind word of mouth is the ultimate, number one way of promoting offline. Tell your friends, and they will tell their friends and so on.

3. Writing - One of the most important and accessible internet tools you have at your fingertips is writing. It’s crucial to show your readers and market that you are an expert in your field and you know what you’re talking about. Article writing and blogging are the two most prominent ways of doing this.

You need to continually write and submit articles (in your niche) to directories so your readers will see you mean business. Blogging is another effective way to get your work in front of others. There are many blog platforms you can use, both free and paid. Search on Google and the various social networks, and then determine what’s best for you and choose accordingly. Asking questions on forum boards, Twitter and Facebook is ideal to gather information best suited for your needs.

The best advice I can give you with marketing your home business in the new year is to strive to invest more time and effort regardless of what techniques you use. Keep up the work, and if you fall, get right back up and do it again. Marketing can’t happen by itself; you must put the extra effort to garner your desired rewards and income.

A Leader’s Attributes Of Success…

Written by Marie on Nov 17th, 2008 | Filed under: All Posts, Motivational Leadership

You are a network marketer and depending on your compensation plan you are only so many people away from unbelievable success.

In my opportunity, one is only 2 people away from realizing their dreams.  That’s why sharing your experience, product or opportunity with as many people as you ca,n will tap into the  law of attraction and the numbers will finally bring what you want.

But in order to attract you have to have something others will want.  Being a leader means developing attributes that you share and touch others with which will encourage them to join you because others will want what you have.

Followers follow leaders but also other followers.  However, leaders follow other leaders and will do what it takes to reach their goals.

So in order to be a leader, certain attributes must be developed. Are you a leader?  If not consider these next points:

  • DESIRE:  It’s not about “I want something, but the desire to be the best”  You need to educate yourself so that you can do what it takes .  If going to a weekly meeting is what it takes then do it.  If attending a daily training call is what it takes, then what’s stopping you?

Living your business and sharing your vision keeps it alive and sharing your vision with your team shows them where you are going, that you are on track and that if they want to do the same, then it might be a good idea to do what you do.

Some will, some won’t.

  • WILLINGNESS: New business owners in a network marketing scene are given directions to follow in order to educate themselves about the company and the product.

Are they willing to do what it takes?   Sit back and watch what they do.  If they are finding excuses along the way for not having completed a specific task you assigned, them they may not be what you want in a business partner.

  • TEACHABILITY: A leader is coachable and eager to learn more.  A leader attends events and does the challenges recommended.
  • SELF-RELIANCE:  A leader can be relied upon to produce what is asked of her.  SHe is a person to be trusted and there when needed.
  • BE DRIVEN:  A leader is driven to succeed.  You go to bed and get up with your goals on your mind.
  • DIRECTED & FOCUSED: A leader stays on course and is aggressive in a way that doesn’t put people off.  What I mean here is that a leader is tenacious and persistent by keeping people in the loop  who have passed on the product or opportunity in the past.
  • PERSISTENT & CONSISTENT:  Many times, I have had success by dripping my information to prior contacts who have said no at one time only to say yes later on.  The timing will be right for someone somewhere sometime.

Once you acquire these attributes you will attract others to you.  This does not mean to say that you can’t attract along the way.  Of course not!

As you grow, your business will grow, and the two people you need to make your business an untold success will happen faster than you think!

Together Everyone Achieves More: Team Work…

Written by Marie on Sep 15th, 2008 | Filed under: All Posts, Motivational Leadership

John Gray of “Men Are From Mars and Women Are From Venus” personally sponsored Rhonda Collier into my business opportunity and she had some really good tips when it came to team work.

T: Together: Connecting with people and gathering the right minded people takes time .  You must be ready to listen to their needs and discover the person’s greatness, that is why we share our story together as a team so that this person can identify with others who have gone through the same thing.

E: Everyone: Everyone needs your product but not everyone may be open to the opportunity.  That is why followups are so important because you are supporting this person in their endeavor and using the team to further give support.

A: Achieves:  You are not in business by yourself.  There are others who have your interests at heart because if you succeed it helps them succeed.  It is always about helping others get to where they want to go as it is for your up-line to help you get where you want to go.

Tools such as 3-way calls and training ensure that the team is doing similar challenges so all are on the same page, ie dupllication.

M: More: This is where leverage is really clear.  As your team achieves more, the hours and time you have invested in doing your part the right way also gets multiplied by the others on your team doing the same actions as you.

More actions = more revenue back to you.

Everybody wins!

And don’t forget to have fun.  Do things you love to do and get together for events whether it’s a barbecue or a company event.  This keeps your team awake and vibrant.  Offer incentives and challenges.

We all want a lifestyle of freedom, health, support and greatness.  Using your team and being part of a team with this ideal will certainly get you where you want.

Want To Start An Online Business?…

Written by Marie on Aug 6th, 2008 | Filed under: All Posts, Training

So you’re interested in maybe starting an online business. Before you get started with any online business there are some things you need to consider.

You may have been told that an online business is for everyone. This could be because the ones telling you this want you to buy stuff from them. You can if the information is conducive to teaching you what you need to know.

But what is an online business in the first place? It is primarily one that is conducted mostly on the internet.

Now there are different online businesses, some have products they sell which get shipped out and others have products they sell which are delivered as online informational packages, ie eBooks. Some of these businesses may even have an offline division and some offline companies may have an online presence.

But a website is not an online business. Some websites are informational, some personal, some humorous or even artistic in style. They could monetize their site to add an extra component but many don’t want to. They are just there having fun. That’s not to say that having a business online is not fun. On the contrary, there’s nothing more fun than to watch your “payment received” emails ringing in your inbox.

But let’s get a few things straight. An online business is not a job. So if you’re looking for a 9-5 job replacement, then you’re missing the mark. Now it could eventually be that golden egg that gets laid over and over again, but only after a lot of hard work and perseverance.

It’s a step that needs a lot of thought. I had a friend that really wanted to get a business going online and he spent thousands for training with this one online company. He is now having to repay a considerable loan and has completely abandoned his dream of having an online business. The company did not deliver. If only he would have not been so desperate and considered online training with reputable teachers.

Beware of those that promise that everything is easy. Things might be simple but they are definitely no easy!

So the biggest question you should ask yourself is: Do you really want to run your own business?

If you are afraid, then you either get over it or stay where you are.

Starting a new business, especially using such an unorthodox method as the internet, will put you in the path of negative opinions, mostly from family and friends who don’t want anything bad to happen to you.

So what’s going to take you through this opposition?

First of all your desire. If you don’t want to do this with a 100% commitment, stop now.

But if your desire is a 10, then you must continue with education. Like any good business owner, you must learn the tricks of the trade.

If your internet experience is next to none, then training with those that can provide you with solid information that you can duplicate makes your task so much easier.

You do this by asking others whom they look to for advice. You go to forums and look at who posts information that is helpful rather than boastful. You visit article sites for the same information. There are numerous resources chock full of what you are looking for and yes, some of it you will need to pay for.

But if you want it really bad then go get it! I did!
