How To Really Listen To What Your Prospect Is Saying..
Network marketing does not have a secret formula that only a few people pass around between each other. What you do in network marketing is what you do every day of your life.
The secret comes in when you really internalize what you do and how it affects others. And one of the best qualities to develop in network marketing is the art of listening.
We listen to experts on all kinds of issues and choose to do or not do what is suggested. But we don’t really stop ourselves to actually listen to our prospect.
Most of the time we talk way too much. Less is more. It is much more powerful in a home business because it helps you to actually hear what your client is really saying.
You can change other people’s lives just by listening. It becomes a million dollar skill because you will be mastering the power core of communication, connection and caring of network marketing.
Take great leaders. What do you hear when you study them? Not much, because they are listening instead of suffering from verbal diarrhea. Study also how they respond.
Focus all of your attention on that person and don’t let anything distract you. This is their time with you. Lock onto the message in the moment and really listen and you just might be surprised at what you actually hear.
Listening is not enough. Your body must also convey a message. So lean forward, nod your head and show them that you are totally absorbed in their words. This demonstrates your involvement in them. It shows that you respect them enough to be totally absorbed by their words.
Your heart listens much better than your mind.
Listen to the content and not just the intent. Encourage and edify the person. This leverages the power found in the now which increases your success. Call it magnetic listening. This attracts others to you. They can’t help it.
We hear all the time about attraction marketing and it all starts at this very basic level of simply listening with all your being to what your client is saying.
If you’re not that great at doing this, then start by listening to what is going on around you. What I mean by that is be more aware of what transpires around you.
Instead of blindly walking to your car in a car lot, look interestingly around you and pay attention to what other people are doing.
Instead of just passing people on the street, smile and look them in the eyes and notice something about them.
If what you notice really makes an impression, then complement them on it. You just might make their day. It will also empower you by growing your attention skills.
Network marketing is not for the faint hearted nor for those who wish to stay in a safe little box. It is for those who wish to surpass their shortcomings while taking small steps out of their comfort zone.
