Your MLM Gets Sued? What Happens To You?..

Written by Marie on Feb 25th, 2009 | Filed under: All Posts, Motivational Leadership, Training

So your network marketing business is  doing great but all of a sudden your company has this major lawsuit slapped against it and will have to shut down.

Horrors, all those beautiful cheques you were getting will soon be history.

What is a person to do to insulate themselves from just such a scenario?

The funded proposal is the life line and savior of all smart network marketing entrepreneurs.

With a funded proposal you market a product related to what you may be selling.  For example , you are selling some kind of juice that helps people have more energy.

You could create in informational product teaching people how they could gain extra energy by doing “3 Simple Things To More Energy” and offer it free.  It doesn’t have to be a report, it could be an audio by an expert in health and energy or even a video.

You will be collecting leads generated out of  interest in the niche you are specializing in. These will be primed to hear more of what you can offer even if you have to switch company in mid-stream.

In simple terms, the funded proposal is a method used by savvy marketers to generate leads by offering something that will help them improve their lives or business.

A person may have several funded proposals to generate extra income.

How can this save you from your company’s lawsuit and possible closer?

You may be losing all the perks you were getting from your company but you won’t be losing what you have built, a targeted list with people ready to listen to what you have to say or offer.

Just make sure you have something of value to share.

Falling For The Next Best Thing..

Written by Marie on Feb 23rd, 2009 | Filed under: All Posts, Motivational Leadership

Is the next best thing just around the corner? If it is and you keep falling for it, where does that leave your primary network marketing business?

Maybe ABC is the one we should join, but Oh look at DEF, it sounds even better.  Having this type of attitude spells death to your present opportunityl

This happens a lot and I’ve been guilty of it myself.  It’s easy to get distracted while promoting our network marketing opportunity when we come across so many different opportunities that look as good or better than the one we have.

There will be a point that you will reach where you will feel so overwhelmed and possibly broke, that you will leave it all behind and become one of the many thousands that put network marketing down as something for only special people to be successful at.

Saying no to these offers is a true test of your commitment and resolve to succeed in network marketing.

And staying focused on your opportunity, your product, your marketing while pushing all else aside is the only way to succeed.  You must have one goal to grow your business and continue to help people.

It’s that simple.  Remember, and I’ve said it before, network marketing is simple but not easy.  Saying “NO” to temptations is not easy but it is very simple.

Stay on track with a leader/trainer/friend that will ensure you reach your goals just the way you want.

Attracting With Value..

Written by Marie on Feb 20th, 2009 | Filed under: All Posts, Motivational Leadership, Training

Since I decided to go against the trend of old time network marketing where you run after your friends and family and call people that just bang the phone down in your ear, I’ve been a lot happier.

But I did not decide to go this path until I discovered what attraction marketing was all about and how the internet would play the biggest role in creating this attraction magnet for me.

Although most of the information I came across was easy to assimilate and put into practice, the one I found myself struggling with the most was writing effective copy for advertising, landing pages and sales pages.

But I have learned, and it should be plain as the nose on your face, that the most important of your ad is the headline. No matter where your ad is displayed, if the headline is weak, you won’t get results.

Next comes the content.  A few short sentences continuing the headline’s direction should emphasize the benefits.  Some ads may need more than a few words so it’s always good to use bullet points that detail the benefits for the problems your ad says it will solve.

Calling your reader to action rounds off a great ad, especially if they follow through by clicking your link to more information or an optin page.  You have to tell them what to do or they just might go on to the next ad and forget about yours.

Now I know that the above doesn’t go into all the details of writing good ads.  I am still learning and good copy writing is a never ending challenge no matter how good you are.

I am fortunate to be a member of a community that specializes in training individuals interested in improving their skills in all aspects of marketing online.

Especially brilliant is their section of videos which takes you step by step through all the aspects of writing with pull.

I’m excited to have such expertise at my finger tips because learning is what I love to do.  Writing great copy is especially good for my network marketing business.

Feeding A Vision…

Written by Marie on Feb 12th, 2009 | Filed under: All Posts, Motivational Leadership

“A vision grows from your soul, fed by communication and passion and can be articulated with the development of how things will be when the vision is achieved.”

Now someone else said that, not me.  Unfortunately, can’t remember who.

But it doesn’t make the message any less important.

Think about it.  A vision also needs food to survive. It may not be the same kind you use to keep your body going but it actually is as equally important.

So how do you feed a vision?

  1. give your vision the right level of priority in your life.  Without total commitment you will never achieve its full potential
  2. make sacrifices. To give your vision your all, some sacrifices go without reason.  You may need to sacrifice time with your family at first, time spent in front of the boob tube, time reading your favorite books.  Whatever sacrifice you make, remember your vision and the sacrifice becomes less so.
  3. develop good habits.  This comes with structuring your time intelligently.
  4. be flexible.  If something comes up that is more important than what you are currently engaged in, then realize that you need to follow through with it.  You can always come back and finish the other.
  5. never give up.  Moving forward no matter what is a quality all vision achievers have in common.
  6. put it in writing. I know it sounds corny, but writing your vision down makes it more concrete, so write it down, sign and date it.  Then read it every day and if it needs to be tweaked, do so.

So feeding your vision is not difficult and if you truly have one, then implementing the above actions will see you accomplish everything you set out to in your life.

Good luck!  (Actually, you are your own luck)

Inoculating Your New Associate For Success..

Written by Marie on Feb 9th, 2009 | Filed under: All Posts, Motivational Leadership, Training

The idea is to protect yourself from disease if it’s rampant by getting vaccinated.  Although I don’t believe in vaccinations, I do believe in prevention.

But how do you prepare your new associate so they are resistant to network marketing negativity?

By that I mean that a new person entering the network marketing arena will have a lot of challenges to face and the biggest one will be the influences from others around them.

Why? Because we listen better to what’s negative about this world than what is positive.  All the media know to report are usually shock and awe.  I guess they figure that’s the way to keep people’s attention.

But in network marketing, this tactic will kill your new associate even before they get out of the gate.

So how do you prepare them?

  1. prepare your distributor by helping them to realize that others will try to turn them away from being successful. Why? Because if they are successful, then this really shines a spotlight on others who do not have the same success. It really boils down to that green eyed monster showing its colors.
  2. those that decry network marketing as a silly dream will also try to detract your new distributor from success. At this point, getting your new distributor to be really clear about their goals and their vision is crucial.  The vision is what sustains through thick and thin.
  3. show your new distributor how others have succeeded and always keep these people in sight.  By emulating successful leaders, one has a tendency to absorb the qualities needed to also make them a leader.
  4. get your new distributor to begin duplicating success by working with others and helping them realize their dreams too.  Often we are told that it’s not about us but about how much you can help others see the possibility of achieving dreams of their own.  Yours will come as a natural process when your concentration is upon giving to others.

So, inoculating your new associate for success is really easy when great leaders and trainers are there to mentor you every step of the way.

Get Over It! Your Fear Of Public Speaking..

Written by Marie on Feb 3rd, 2009 | Filed under: All Posts, Motivational Leadership

Yesterday I mentioned the discovery of the”Impostor” as shown to me by David Wood.

Part of the whole exercise was to teach us how to master the stage.  If you didn’t get a chance to look at my video on that topic, you can get it here.

But I wanted to add these points to overcoming your fear of the stage and public speaking:

  1. Be prepared. Know what you’re going to say. Never “wing-it.”  That’s why David’s 10 steps are so important.Study your materials; prepare your notes; role play what you will say into a tape recorder. When you stand up in front of people just think – “First I’ll say this, then I’ll say this.”
  2. Don’t focus your attention on you. Instead pay attention to your audience. When we are afraid, it’s because we focus on us instead of the other. So putting 100% of your attention on the audience is crucial to staying in control.

It’s only with practice and persistence that you will overcome your fears and be looked upon as a great speaker. So if being a great speaker is iimportant to you then following the 10 steps for a great presentation as given by David Wood and practising will make all the difference.

How To Find Your Impostor..

Written by Marie on Feb 2nd, 2009 | Filed under: All Posts, Motivational Leadership

A couple of weeks ago, I spent 2 days listening and learning from David Wood.  If you’ve ever had the opportunity to attend an event given by David Wood, then you will know what I mean when I say

“WOW”!

It was there that I met “shleprock”.  Who is shleprock?  It is my impostor.

Our impostor is that little voice in our head that says “you’re not ready yet”, “you have to get organized before..”, “are you sure you should?”, “you can do that later”.

Sound familiar?

Our impostor is not all bad.  It is that part of our brain which takes care of us.  It protects us from injury and watches over us so we don’t get hurt.   But we no longer are in the middle ages where we have to run away from saber tooth tigers.

It just forgets about that!

Now we asked David, how to stop our imposter from getting in our way.  His answer was, drum rollllll,

“I  don’t know!”  That was honest wasn’t it?

But he did say that just by recognizing that we do have an impostor makes all the difference.  The impostor is not me, the real me.

And that once you recognize that it isn’t you, then telling your impostor to “cool it” will put it on hold until the next time it feels like interfering.

The trick here is to continue on in spite of the warnings because once you have put action behind the thought, the next time the same scenario comes around again, the action will be that much easier until you don’t hear the impostor anymore because it will now be a normal occurrence that the impostor does not have to worry about anymore.

Make any sense to you?

Cynics Don’t Belong In Network Marketing..

Written by Marie on Jan 28th, 2009 | Filed under: All Posts, Motivational Leadership

If you don’t know by now that your attitude has a lot of power, then it’s time you listened.

I’m not going to start preaching but if you are truly cynical, which comes from a negative attitude, you might have to think twice before starting an MLM business.

Or change your mindset.

You decide what to focus on , no one else.

I have a friend that is a perpetual whiner, but never fixes the cause of the problem. Everything around her is to blame and never looks at herself for answers. Then she wonders why she struggles all the time.

This type of self absorbed mindset will definitely not create any form of MLM success in your life but certainly will create the success of failure.

That type of person expects only one thing in their life and that is if something is good, there will be something bad in it somewhere. The glass in not only half empty but there is a whole in it too.

It you have read “The Secret” or books of a similar nature, you will already know that what you expect from life generally does happen.

So if you have to tweak your life for success, then change your mindset. Read books, watch DVDs, listen to audios, do anything that you need to do to facilitate this change within you.

Identify with inspiring leaders who have been there and done that, especially in the business you are working in. These leaders have nuggets which can change your life. Now being part of a team with such a leader only spells success.

So if you don’t change your mindset, your MLM business will only be half full and slowly pouring out the other end leaving you an empty business with no residual income

Fighting Your Biggest MLM Opponent..

Written by Marie on Jan 26th, 2009 | Filed under: All Posts, Motivational Leadership

There is someone out there who is fighting your every step of the way.

He tells you that you can’t succeed, that what you are doing is hard and brings doubt as to whether others will listen to what you have to say.

Clue? It’s you. You are your biggest opponent to success.

As yourself how badly you really want to succeed in life and in your Network Marketing business?

Check the level of your desire on the scale of 0 to 100%.

Are you willing to go the distance and fight with all your being to make your business a success?

We fight with Success every day because we just don’t want to go that extra mile to reach our goals. There really are no exceptions to this. The only person who stops you from achieving your goals is YOU.

All day you fight untruths about yourself “ I’m just too shy” “I don’t know enough” “I’m not pretty enough” “I’m afraid of what people will think of me”

Bull hockey!

These thoughts are the complete opposite of what attraction marketing is based upon. They will only attract failure and mediocrity like a magnet on steroids.

Harv Eker of the “Millionaire Mind” showed me clearly how my words, my thoughts, are keeping me from succeeding the way I dreamed.

But no longer, because as I force inside garbage to honor truth about me and about what my Creator wants for my life, I am finding the greatness inside of me and am pounding mediocrity and failure into the ground.

I know I am doing it and by increasing the fight in me I find the bigger me inside that can create a destiny and future that will astound and amaze me.

I refuse to give up!

How To Be In Front By Holding Back..

Written by Marie on Jan 19th, 2009 | Filed under: All Posts, Motivational Leadership, Training

Look at top leaders who are prized as mentors by their students. What is one thing they don’t have?

Ego!

People with an ego repel others so if you are trying to attract people to you then you better think about losing your ego now.

You see, if you are one that likes to boast about your accomplishments and let everything out on the table, then there is really nothing else for people to keep them begging for more.

Having an extra ace or two to play when you need it the most may just be what will help you succeed, especially in the game of network marketing.

You might be thinking right now “well what’s wrong with letting people know how wonderful I am?”

Blowing your own horn often sounds sour to others but have someone else blow your horn, then that’s another thing totally.

Then the key is what do you have to do to have others blow your horn?

It’s all in helping others achieve their short term goals. When you help someone, they are usually so appreciative that somewhere down the line what you have done for them will get to be heard by other people.

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with humility, in fact it is an essential quality for you to succeed in network marketing, plus it is an endearing quality that simply attracts others to you.

There is another plus to not letting everyone know all you know. It is a sign of wisdom. It means that you are ready to listen to others and to learn.

You already know what you are saying but you can learn so much more by listening to others.

To be a leader you need to create an image of strength and by not blowing your own horn and being willing to listen, you will glow with leadership power that you may not have had before and it will keep you in front of the crowd.
