Even CNN Agrees That Now Is The Time To Be Your Own Boss

Written by Marie on Feb 5th, 2010 | Filed under: Motivational Leadership

Even CNN is now recognizing that now is the time to go into business for yourself and be your own boss.  In this video, they interview Charlotte Phelps, an economist at Temple University.

The times may be hard but it’s also the time to make that leap of faith into a home based business that will position you for the coming global entrepreneurial shift that has started to take place.

Governments are helping entrepreneurs are at the vanguard of social economic change and those who do take advantage will look 20 years from now with it as being the crux where things changed to create for them a successful career.

Be creative and choose a niche that will sell your idea. And what better way to do that than through the Internet.

Why play it safe when down times are what create future successful companies that were smart enough to see the trend and take advantage of it.  If this isn’t enough motivation to take the leap, I don’t know what is.

Recession Wave Engulfs Country: Video

Written by Marie on Dec 4th, 2009 | Filed under: All Posts, Motivational Leadership

Click on the image and go watch how fast this recession is leaving many families wanting.  Then after you’ve watched it, come back here and continue reading about how you can avoid being one of the numbers shown here.

Growing fast

Growing fast

This wave seems like it’s enveloping the country without anything at hand to stop its progress.

The big question is, what can you do to stop it?

The first step is know how to SELL. OK so you don’t like selling, well you better learn. I’m not talking about selling door to door either.

It’s all about being able to use words, the right kind of words and at the right time with the right message.

I’m talking about selling through mass media like the web and email.

As your second step, join a network marketing company so you can have something to sell that you believe in.

Most successful online marketers are successful because they know what triggers to push by using words that will  do the job for them.

It’s really not hard to do but you have to have a place to learn from and a teacher or teachers you trust.

If you had training that could shorten your learning curve, you’d be way ahead of the pack.

Well you can be when you can take lessons from a master.

The Copywriter’s Guild program can do just that and at the moment it is discounted by 33%.  It has taught Mike Dillard, after all, to be a copywriting dynamo.

And because I don’t believe in pounding doors when network marketing, you would also be able to learn how the face of network marketing has changed and how to do it without rejection.

Learning how to write is a mandatory step that  can do that for you too.  Go check it out for yourself. http://marieleo.thecopywritersguild.com

Working At Home? How To Stay Focused..

Written by Marie on Oct 15th, 2009 | Filed under: All Posts, Motivational Leadership

Working from home is hard for many people. One would think the opposite true, but that rarely is the case because there are all manner of distractions that clamor for your time, energy and focus.

Sometimes it’s easy to forget why you’re doing this business from home but the next few tips should help keep you on track:

  • have your reason “why” staring at you in the face by literally spelling it out on paper and posting it where you can see it often
  • you’re not there to play so get down to it and do all you can so you can play later
  • because your family will be around you while you work, schedule your activities so that you can be with them and also work. For example, you know that your daughter arrives from school at 3:30pm and usually wants to chat and re-connect. Then take an hour or half an hour to do just that. Then go back to work.
  • working from home doesn’t mean your friends and family should not respect the time you have set aside to do that work.  Make it clear if they should interrupt you or call.
  • first things first. Handle mail right away, once in the morning and then later in the day close to closing time.
  • get help if you find that you don’t have enough time to do all of the income generating activities.

Success can be reached if you stay focused and good working habits, especially if you are working from home, are essential.

Network Marketing Is NOT All About “Duplication”..

Written by Marie on May 20th, 2009 | Filed under: All Posts, Motivational Leadership, Training

I love Mike Klingler. His articles always make me think.

In his latest post, Mike talked about duplication and how network marketing companies stress duplication to their business builders.

Yes, duplication is important, but as Mike says, is duplication what makes a six figure income earner or is there something else going on in the background that is not so evident?

He explains it as “influence”. People can’t respond to a system but they do respond to a person’s attitude, leadership qualities, confidence and positive mindset.

Learning how to use a system is easy, but developing our “Influence Factor” is important when marketing any business but crucial, especially for online marketing.

To attract others you have to have something about you that is seen as attractive in the first place. It’s not all about the money. This part actually becomes easy once your “Influence Factor” has reached a wider audience.

A good example is how Ann Sieg and Mike Klingler, on their own, had built their influence factor into a successful business filled with members. But look at how much wider they have spread their reach by combining actions towards a single goal.
It’s by taking time to build a solid foundation erected on business principles and collaborative strategies that they have built a marketing funnel reaching tens of thousands.

But they did not get to where they are overnight. They first started to build their “Influence Factor”.

How?

They didn’t allow other people to sabotage their efforts and kept a positive mindset by continuously striving to better themselves learning more and more about their business and what was really important to the consumer.

Mike takes the development of our “Influence Factor” to another level. He stresses the importance of learning less obvious and even more powerful skills and insights and how to apply them.

He rates collaborating and partnership or Joint Ventures right up there with understanding your business processes intimately. In order to know your business, you must be able to assess its viability and long-term objectives. Using help from others and building teams that focus on the same goals are also crucial steps. Don’t forget market research to find what problems you can solve for your prospects.

As you build a solid foundation with great content and apply skilled copy writing to your work, you will be leading with value and closing the sale in one shot.

These skills have to be learned just as Mike and Ann had to learn them and Renegade University is the first FREE step, one can take. And as you grow your skills, an upgrade to Renegade Professional is a natural progression. This part of the training has helped me dot the I’s and mark the T’s.

But from what I can see, the ultimate in learning the deeper concepts of marketing as it relates to partnerships, JVs and collaborations is found in Renegade Breakthrough.

Mike says we will learn a new language and view the world from a different perspective as we perceive our place in the big picture and become BIGGER and BETTER at attracting without trying.

Let’s get back to duplication for a moment. It is being taught in all network marketing companies and professed as the single most important skill one can learn. But if you consider the “influence”a very successful networker has, it’s easy to see how the “Influence Factor” is the most important factor to consider and the true reason for some earning more than others.

Develop you and grow your influence as your learning curve grows because in the end, what you are developing is actually your “Influence Factor”, which no system, no matter how complete, can duplicate.

Do You Agree With This Grey Hat Tactic?

Written by Marie on Mar 23rd, 2009 | Filed under: All Posts, Motivational Leadership, Training

Just recently I came across a report written back in 07 about how to use MySpace to make money.

The writer professed to say that all you needed was

  • A copy of the report
  • An internet connection.
  • Some time. Not a lot of time, but you will need to commit to a certain amount of time each day or every few days. It all depends how soon you want the cash flow to start!”

This, of course, intrigued me to continue on reading.

The first point used to explain why MySpace was so great to do this, was first of all, the SIZE of MySpace.

Anytime you can gain access to such a ridiculously large amount of people all you need is the most rudimentary marketing skills and you can make an absolute killing.

I agreed with that point.

“It’s still relatively unknown to the mass markets

Maybe back in 2007, but today MySpace is basically number one in  social networks and the tactics laid out in the report may now be overworked.

It’s free”

Yes, people love free stuff and is why MySpace is so popular.

“It’s “cool,” or perceived as cool”

Which keeps the MySpace members there to continue interacting.

“The friends system”

Friends are great and the more the merrier.

But how can we take advantage of all of these points and make money with it?

What happens when you have thousands of friends?

How do you turn that into dollars?

According to this report, one Grey hat technique is to set up many accounts designed to target a specific niche. That made sense to me.  However, this report takes it a little further by suggesting that you need to use an alias, preferably that of an attractive female between the ages of 18 to 24.

They would not be real people.  The how is then explained in detail as is the what to do and the what not to do.

I must say that I was impressed by this person’s ingenuity and although I particularly didn’t like the method, I could see how this technique could end up being quite a money maker.

I would be interested in hearing your views on this type of marketing.

Getting A Handle On Time Freedom..

Written by Marie on Mar 12th, 2009 | Filed under: All Posts, Motivational Leadership, Training

How many of you are finding it hard to schedule your time?

I’m sure that one of the main reasons you decided to get iinto network marketing as a business was to achieve more free time to do what you love.

That could be easier to say than to do because we often feel overwhelmed by all that we have to learn on top of trying to make a living in other ways and spending time with family and friends.

So the first thing you do is see how you can structure your time to identify where it goes on a daily basis.

A really good tool I found to do that is here at Studygs.net.  It allows you to plug your hours in broken down by all the categories a normal life would expose you to.

It starts by first identifying how 24 hours of your day is spent. How many hours in classes, working, family outings, personal care, meal prep and cleanup and much more.

But don’t put in there the time you do network marketing.

By first doing this exercise you can identify the true time you have left over to do your network marketing business. You may be surprised to see that you have more time for your business than you thought or you might see that your network marketing business is stealing away time from another important category such as quality family time.

Repeat the daily exercise for every day of the week so that you now have 7 full days done. Now add in the time you will be doing your network marketing business each day.

Next, set out your priorities but don’t forget to leave some time for unexpected things that could happen in your day for exceptions, such as a call that takes too long, or a traffic jam etc.

At this point you are ready to put all of your time activities on a calendar. Some people like to use a calendar on their computer.  A really good resource is Gengook.com.  It’s a free tool that you can use to block out the time you know is for specific events and also to email to prospects so they can book an appointment with you online even if you’re not there to confirm it.

I do use Gengook for online clients but I prefer to use a desk top calendar for the whole month.  The bigger the squares the better. I then mark out, using different colored pens, the time I do followups, have clients, meetings, appointments, events and personal time.

At a glance I can see what is planned for that whole month.  It is a real time saver and keeps me focused and on track.

I also found that when I  started implementing what I learned in Renegade University that my time started to have more stucture and results. You need to check it out and see if it can help you too.
