With that knowledge you can find problems a lot of people are seeking answers to and not getting many results.
What you’re looking for is keywords that tell you exactly what problems the searcher wants to solve. If you can clearly see the searcher’s intend , then you know how to address it.

The process we’re going to show you will give you the tools to eliminate vague, broad keywords and drill down to problems with high demand and low supply.

You’ll start by being able to identify keywords that reveal the searchers’ intent — exactly the problem they’re trying to solve.

Clarity of Intent

When someone searches dog, we don’t really know what causes them to do it. Even the phrase train dog is vague, since we don’t know what kind of training they mean — police work, or just “sit”?

But when we look at a phrase like how to train dog to stop jumping on people, the problem at hand is obvious.

Phrases with clear intentions are great to use when you build your website, write your salescopy, and come up with your products.

If you don’t have a clear vision of what your audience is looking for, you are headed for trouble. Keywords shape everything we do online, so getting them right is crucial to success.

Keyword research in a nutshell

1. Use one or two words to describe a passion or interest, e.g., dog.
2. Combine your “interest word” with “how” to generate problem statements in your keyword research tool, e.g., how dog.
3. Record the “action words” that come up, e.g., how wash dog, how house train dog… these are terms that people are using to search the Internet to solve a problem they have.
4. From that list, choose some problems that you have the interest, knowledge, or skill to solve, e.g., train dog.
5. Find as many ways as possible to express your “interest word” and your “action word,” e.g., training, teach, obedience, commands, stop, tricks.
6. Enter your interest + action phrases into a keyword tool — you’ll get a long list of actual searches that people are doing in the area you’re focusing on, e.g., stop Pomeranian yapping, teach dog cute tricks, paper train puppy. These are called “seed words.”
7. Organize the keywords into clusters (or groups) according to intention of the action being performed, e.g., barking, basic obedience, tricks, house training, how to teach dog training, puppy training, etc. Each one of these is a clearly different problem you can investigate.
8. Look for the largest clusters and add up the number of actual searches — a large cluster with lots of searches is worth exploring further because it indicates that a large number of people are trying to solve the same problem.

In this first part of an ongoing series we took a look at some best practices marketers can follow when implementing article marketing campaigns. This second installment of the series will examine a method for ensuring that the author behind an article writing campaign is able to remain productive in the face of a depleted idea bank.

As most marketers are aware, Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is a crucial aspect of any Internet Marketing campaign. Developing a healthy set of backlinks gives your site more credibility with the various search engines, resulting in higher search engines result page (SERP) placement.

While all marketers chase after the coveted top position on these SERPs, most are satisfied with page one results. One of the most effective ways to help generate the requisite backlinks for these results is through the use of article marketing. In this second in an ongoing series on article marketing tips, we will examine some best practices that marketers should follow when writing content and posting articles for the purposes of SEO.

Write An Ongoing Series – When taking on article marketing for a new client, the ideas typically come fast and furiously. Initial articles providing general information about the client’s offerings often turn into more in-depth looks at their specific aspects and unique strengths. However, it is not unnatural for the article writer to begin coming up short of ideas for topics to write about for their respective clients. In these instances, it is always a viable option to go with an ongoing series of articles that focus on a particular facet of the client’s products.

For example, let’s say your client’s specialty is manufacturing office chairs. You have already written countless articles touting the features and advantages of their office chairs. Your search engine result page (SERP) placement is steadily increasing, but you feel like you have exhausted all possible article topics. This is the perfect time to tackle an ongoing series. In looking back at your articles, you notice one that you wrote about how comfortable chairs can positively impact your workday. The article was fairly general and merely took a broad overview of the benefits of a comfortable chair. It made passive statements about how the comfort of a chair can translate to a better mood, increased performance, stronger stamina, etc. This is the ideal launching point for an ongoing series!

In this instance it should be fairly easy for the writer to extract some of the points made in the previous article and write new pieces that elaborate even more on these advantages. Rather than settle for a sentence or two on how a good office chair can increase stamina, write a couple of paragraphs that describe how and why they do so, what this stamina means for the workday and how an uncomfortable chair can have the opposite effect.

The advantage here is twofold. First, the writer will be able to overcome their lack of ideas and sink their teeth into creating this new content. The ideas are already there, created by the writer; all they need is a little expansion and possibly a bit of research to flesh them out. Second, when a reader stumbles on one of your articles and is able to relate to or extract some value from the content, they will be very likely to seek out the other parts of the series, further strengthening their relationship with the brand you are marketing. These clicks can not only inspire better SEO value for your backlinks and article dissemination; they can often lead to conversions, which is the absolute end goal for internet marketers everywhere.

Those that end up making the big money didn’t get there overnight.  That’s why when people like Mark Hoverson want to share their most enlightened moments with us that led to him becoming a figure 7 earner, one tends to stop and listen.

A Leader No Longer In Training

I don’t know about you, but when I worked for someone else, my time was no longer my time.  The boss set the pace and ruled what had to be done. Now I can understand that when you are running a business, you want results.  But with a home based business, there is no boss except you.  You have to decide what gets done and when.

That’s why discipline is so important.  To succeed you have to schedule your time. And in network marketing your time does not have to mean a time for you to cold call or approach every person within 3 feet to get your business rolling.

That’s why he emphasizes the importance of spending a minimum of 15 minutes to 30 minutes doing 1 –on-1 with new members of his team to scrutinize their belief system, question their thought about marketing, prod them on to give a smarter effort and  challenge them to become the best they can be.

This formula for success is simple but effective and since it has taken Mark from the edge of poverty to 7 figures in a very short time, not one to ignore.

Now we may not all have Mark’s drive or need to succeed but just being persistent and consistent will yield results which can easily turn into extra 0’s on your next bonus cheque.


Keep Competitors From Stealing Your Best Keywords?

Optimizing your site using your best keywords in the title tags is an SEO that all good online marketers know about.

Often new beginners who happen to find really good keywords balk at placing their keywords where they are visible to all their competitors.

This is definitely a newbie big mistake.  What they don’t realize is that they can also go and spy on their competitors to “view” their best keywords and strategy too.

Look at it this way.  You give massages with a chair for people that are travelling.  Now when they get ready to receive their massage, your portable chair just happens to be invisible.

You won’t get too many people wanting a massage from you if the prospective client can’t see your chair. Your goal is to have the best, most comfortable chair and then give the best, most relaxing massage to keep them there.

The thing with keywords is you have to use them for search engines to find them.

So how do you dominate your competition?

Content, content, content.

Even if you use all the keyword  optimizing tricks there are, if your content is poor, Google will know it. The Google search engines are being fine tuned and have become so much more sophisticated to identify good content over poor.

So no matter how great the keywords your competitors are using, you can always steal their thunder if your content is better than theirs.  To do that, you must post a minimum of 3 times a week.  Give away all the free information you can but use your head and include your top keywords in your blog content which will continue to build your SEO efforts with every post while still giving Google all it wants in terms of great content.

6 Tips For Better Site Traffic

Making your site somewhere people want to go can be a challenge for many people. But these 6  tips for better traffic will make your job much easier.

  • What does your site look like? Does it have a dark background and light letters?  Not a good move. It seems that it is much harder to read white letters on a dark background than vice versa.  It can cause eyestrain and your visitors will leave your site by the droves.  Keep it simple by using black letters on a white or light background.
  • Are you making use of the whole width of your screen for your copywriting?  Another not so good move.  The experts are saying that a writing area of no bigger than 600 pixels is preferred by readers.  People would rather scroll down than move the cursor from side to side.
  • Do your site navigation tabs number over 8?  The magic number is 8.  Anymore than that and people feel that your site is too complex and too convoluted to try to decipher even if the information is really good.  They will leave for better pastures.
  • Are you trying to sell vitamins along with lawnmowers?  Then you are being too wide in your niche and not targeting the people you need to.  Stay within your niche boundaries.
  • Your headlines need to evoke an emotional response from your reader.  Whether you save them some money or make them feel less alone or provide them some help that will make their job easier, no matter, use the words and benefits that will get them to want to find out more.  Copywriting well done evokes emotions.
  • Also, good  copywriting is not just for the headlines but also needed for taking your visitors through a series of hoops that will pre-qualify them and lead them to a product you want to sell to make their lives easier.

Improving your site does not have to be hard to do.  Just think logically, use your common good sense and if you need to,  get some good training.
