Taking Action And Staying Motivated…

Written by Marie on Jul 30th, 2008 | Filed under: All Posts

Ok, so you have a vision. You’ve set goals. You’ve made a business plan. Now what?

You have to take action and stay committed to your goals. But” you say, “how do I stay motivated?”

It goes like this. All of it stems from your vision. Don’t get vision confused with goals. They are 2 different things.

Your vision is where you want to go vs your goals which can be short tem or long term.

Goals will help you get to your vision.

Now you may have a short term goal, let’s say you want to lose 5 pounds. Once you’ve reached it, that goal is done. That is short term. You feel the satisfaction of having accomplished this task.

Reaching your vision is really made up of a lot of short term goals along the way.

But you can’t get there only doing short-term goals, you also need long term goals.

They are directly linked to your vision so that your vision will be what will spur you on and inspire you, excite you to keep on going.

Self Motivation stems from your vision and can have external factors, meaning outside of yourself such as what happens to your life naturally: taking lessons, reading inspirational writings, seeing others succeed etc.

Self motivation must also have internal factors which ensure your vision motives will be so strong as to take you through the hard times. Times when everything you’re doing doesn’t seem to get you anywhere.

Maybe you need to re-evaluate the method you are using or maybe it’s just a question of timing. Sitting down and really meditating over this will give you a clue either way.

What keeps me motivated is my faith that what I am working at will give me the results I am after. I am focused on “abundance” not “lack”.

I see the finished vision and what I do daily are the steps I need to take to get me there.

In the mean time, I set goals that will get me closer to my vision and once I’ve reached those goals, I set new ones.

Setting daily goals is easy and each little step shows the Universe that I am serious about what I am doing and where I want to go.

It’s hard for many people to believe that the Universe is only waiting for us to ask for what we want before IT gives us exactly what we want.

You’ve heard “beware of what you want, or you might just get it”. Well this stands especially true with a vision that is based in helping others be the most that they can be.

It seems that the Universe is just tripping over itself when it comes to helping you help others gets what they want.

So staying motivated for me is not difficult. I read inspiring works, I do daily affirmations, set short and long term goals and keep my vision alive while giving thanks with a grateful heart for all that I have already.

I also work with like minded people who support my belief system. These people are positive thinkers who empower me.

Are those the kind of people you have around you? Are they the kind of people your networking business is filled with? If not, then you must consider changing your environment or the wrong people around you can eventually bring you down to their level and you will only experience dissatisfaction and little success.

Do these words resonate well with you? Finding like minded people is really not that hard because who you are is really who you will attract. The Law of Attraction makes it so!

Network Marketing Newbie Faces New Challenges..Training The Key…

Written by Marie on Jul 1st, 2008 | Filed under: All Posts

It’s no longer like the old days of network marketing. Now that the Internet plays such an active part in most all of our lives, the doors to opportunity have swung open but they have also shut for some. The trick is in making that door open and stay open for you.

The idea of network marketing today is pushing many of us to go beyond our boundaries and find creative sources to help others train better and be better network marketers.

There are many sites out there offering this type of help and many offer turnkey operations to help you promote your opportunity. This can be good or bad. You need to educate yourself and not jump into the first thing you see.

A Fallen and Discouraged Friend

I know someone who had no idea of how to market online. This person was a little computer literate with emails and such but that was all. He fell for the hype this company was giving him and went ahead and committed himself to $5000 for training and website building to get his business online so he could start making money right away.

You guessed it! The training was poorly structured and too slow for results and he eventually gave up but his $5000 debt is still there haunting him every month.

So for the beginner who is strapped for cash, this option is no option at all.

Finding the Right Kind of Help

That’s why; if you’re lucky enough to find a site that gives you free information without wanting all your money in return, stick with it.

Such a site should be able to give you a set generic template of how to train yourself even if you have help from your sponsor. It’s hard to find a dedicated and excellent sponsor that is successful and looking to help you be successful.

There is always something that gets left out and having an information site to refer back to can be a Godsend. A generic training website is priceless as it can help you define your goals and help you follow a path toward success.

Before thinking of going on the Internet with your opportunity, if that interests you, you must start by making some cash right at the beginning. Most likely, you don’t have the money to get started online anyways and you have to make some to spend some.

There are some important factors however that you must consider:

  • Be a product of your product…your positive results will help build your story…remember that fact tells and story sells. It’s the emotion which will get someone’s attention ie: let’s say your product results are weight loss, it will be your excitement at having lost weight and how you feel that will grab the person you are talking to. Go see an example of this here.
  • You have to be committed for the long run. You can’t expect to make it if you’re in it for only a few months. It takes a minimum of 2 years to build an organization that will produce a residual income that you can rely upon. So it’s always a good thing to sign a commitment form, either given to you by your sponsor or a promise you signed for yourself. Signing binds the commitment into the brain, like a marriage license. You at least commit to trying harder.
  • The setting of goals is imperative.
    1. You must write your purpose for doing this business and set goals to achieve this purpose. These goals should cover what you intend to earn in 6 months, in 1 year, even 2 years from now and how you plan to do it.
    2. These goals should be able to be measured by the amount of success you achieve along the way. A good example is the number of clients and associates you have retained in the process.
    3. You should be ready to be coached and accountable to your sponsor. After all, if you don’t learn the business then you can’t do the business. Plus being accountable to someone other than yourself can be the catalyst you need to do that little bit extra that you may not have done if you were only working on your own.
    4. You must be realistic when you set your goals. If you shoot for a million dollars the very first year you’re in business, there’s a big possibility you won’t reach that goal. Make it reachable taking into consideration your time dedicated to doing the business.
    5. You should reach your goals or close to reaching your target goals within the time you specified for yourself. If you do not and are really way off your target, then it’s time to re-examine and adjust accordingly. Think of doing this at least every 6 months.
  • These are only basic points that will get you to thinking of doing your business with purpose and dedication. If you are not ready to do just these basic steps, then you may not be ready to do network marketing.

As for getting on the Internet, the same rules apply, only the approach is different. But that’s a topic for another day.
